Animal Osteopathy Course – Day Three

More horsing around…

Today we went through articulation of the entire hindlimb and then put it together with repetition of both the front and back leg. We had some old horses at the riding school and I think they’ve been loving us. It was like some of them had never had there joints articulated (moved) and they seemed really appreciative of our work. The eldest is 30yrs old and he was amazing!

In the afternoon we had a dissection class. It was really interesting taking a better look at the anatomy and seeing how the stifle (knee) and hock (ankle) lock on a horse. I won’t share the video we took but if you’re an anatomy nerd it was pretty cool.

Tomorrow is more horse time, this time the spine. We’ll be on to dogs later in the week, I promise…
